This meeting will be attended by the US leaders in High Energy Density Physics (HEDP), especially in the development of "alternate" inertial fusion ignition schemes to hot spot ignition. It is held twice a year and the purpose is to review the work of researchers in HEDP at The University of Rochester, MIT, OSU, LLNL, UCSD, UCLA, UCSD, U of Nevada at Reno, and General Atomics.
Professor R. Betti, of the University of Rochester and The Laser Laboratory for Energetics, is currently the Director for the Fusion Science Center (FSC). The Center is supported by the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences, an office in the Fusion Research Program of the DOE.
There will be open sessions at the meeting.
The agenda is available.
A poster session will be held on Saturday morning, Oct 22, in the PRB Atrium.
