The Femto-Solid Laboratory headed by Dr. Enam Chowdhury from the High Energy Density Physics Research Group has brought up the GRAY laser.

GRAY operates at 3 mJ/pulse 1 kHz, 50 fs and is dedicated to femtosecond pulse laser solid interaction experiments.  GRAY is also capable of supplying 1.1 - 2 micron wavelength operation via an OPA arm.  A 3 - 5 micron OPA arm is currently under construction.

The GRAY laser is supported by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR).
